D30 Scott - Engine and Tender Kit

Highly detailed etched brass and nickel silver kit with whitemetal and brass castings. The main body parts are in 0.45mm brass with the chassis in 0.7mm nickel silver.

A dummy set of inside motion is included.

Etched parts are included for the variations of rivet patterns on the smokebox , splashers, and cab roof as well as the different drives for the mechanical lubricator. The NBR smokebox front is also provided.

Over 60 patterns have been made for this kit. This results in about 120 castings in the kit of which 45 are brass. The variations in tender and bogie springing are catered for.

Also provided are etched plates for engine and tender works plates, NBR engine number plates, NBR power classification plates, BR shed allocation and smokebox number plates. Engines covered are: 62417, 18, 21, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 34, 35, 40 and 41.

Highly detailed etched brass and nickel silver kit with whitemetal and brass castings.  The main body parts are in 0.45mm brass with the chassis in 0.7mm nickel silver.  As with the D30 and D34 a dummy set of inside motion is included

    

 

Etched parts are included for the three lengths of smokebox; saturated, superheated and for the extended smokebox on Lady of Avenel.  Etchings and castings are provided for steam reversing or the later screw reverser.  The three different chimneys are supplied.

    

 

Etched plates are in 6 thou brass for 895, 897, 898, 900, 339, 340, 359 and 360 with the LNER equivalents.  BR plates are for 62405, 10, 11, 12 and 13.

Dry print transfers for the painted names on the D29, D30, D34 and D11.  These transfers are for BR period in Yellow.

We would suggest applying the transfers onto clear waterslide transfer film, varnishing and then using as a waterslide transfer.

The chassis, which is etched frames over a cast block, includes the drives for the mechanical lubricators. A choice of tender springs are included for either the NBR or the later LNER/BR periods.
